How Adding Muscle Can Help Clear Your Mind - A Great Stress Reliever

Usually, the perception is that if you have a lot of muscles, you are considered a meat head. On the other hand, if you are skinny but look rather dorky, you have a great mind.

Stereotypes are not always the best thing to look at and take as truth though. In fact, I feel (as do many others who have researched the topic) that building muscle is great for the mind.

What is the one thing that always happens to us when are calenders are full? We become very stressed out to the point we become less productive. I have found that lifting and workout out my muscles relieves stress and also lets me take out any anger I have built up.

Think about it. You had a rough day. How do you turn your day around? While you might feel like letting out a scream or punching something, control any anger built up inside and instead use it for good.

By lifting and doing other workouts, you clear your mind as well. No longer are you thinking about what makes you angry or stressful. Instead, you are thinking about how you are getting in better shape, and how the little things that both you should be ignored.

My best advice is to lift towards the end of the day. I feel that is better than the morning, because it’s a way to slowly taper down. It’s a tactic I have been using for quite some time now.

Going back to the muscle vs. mind thing. Who says you can’t have both and become a force? If you have a busy schedule and you don’t want your mind to be filled with nasty thoughts all day, you should consider some type of workout plan that can help you relieve all that tension.
